WARNING: A little pepper really goes a long way here. I am a heat/hot pepper enthusiast and I sliced and diced and broke up one whole pepper into a bowl of soup, and it really packed a punch. I would recommend using only half a pepper or less for a bowl, and maybe one and at most 2 whole peppers in a big bowl of chili. More than that, and you are really going to feel the heat. These are smoky, slightly fruity, and I can't wait for my better spice grinder to arrive so I can use some of these to make my own chili oil and hot sauce. I just would certainly not recommend using too many of these at one time, and you definitely should keep them away from children and take care when handling them as you definitely will want to avoid touching your eyes after handling these. Now I am just hoping they also make Habanero and/or Carolina Reaper varieties as I would love to try those next.

Unexpectedly, a decently known spice within Hispanic cuisine as well! This little spice is bursting full of flavor with just one star! An aroma so sweet and refreshingly spicy, it's perfect for using with dishes that will compliment its unique licorice-esque flavor! The stars offered here are top-notch, having little breakage, very little if at that. These are the most potent and fresh stars I've had the pleasure of working with too! They've served perfectly for baking and making desserts with (Star Anise Ice cream is an absolute recommend if you can make it!), and whilst I'm no adept cook... assured I am this is useful for savory foods as well. For all cooking, whether whole, ground, or infused; Star Anise by 5Senses is recommended. Only the best quality for the best taste!

Growing up in India, turmeric wasn't just a spice in our kitchen, it was our go-to for everything from immunity to healing.
