Ingredients
For the Cinnamon Apples
1 apple, peeled and cubed
1 teaspoon powdered 5Senses wild cinnamon bark
4 teaspoons sugarcane powder
(or brown sugar)
For the Cake Batter
3 eggs
½ cup white sugar powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
⅓ cup oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
For Garnishing
Extra apple slices or cubes
5Senses wild cinnamon bark powder, for dusting
Icing sugar, for dusting after baking
Directions
Prepare the Cinnamon Apples
Take a small bowl and add the cubed apple. Add the 5Senses wild cinnamon bark powder along with the sugarcane powder or brown sugar.
Mix everything well until the apples are evenly coated. The sugar and cinnamon will begin to draw out moisture from the apples, giving them a glossy appearance and a light golden-brown color.
Let the apples rest for 10 minutes while you prepare the cake batter.Prepare the Cake Batter
In a large mixing bowl, crack in the eggs. Add the white sugar powder and vanilla essence.
Using a whisk or electric beater, beat the mixture until it becomes light, fluffy, and slightly pale in color.
Add the oil and continue beating on high speed for about 3–4 minutes until the mixture becomes smooth and airy.Add the Dry Ingredients
Add the all-purpose flour and baking powder to the batter.
Gently fold the mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as overmixing can make the cake dense instead of soft and fluffy.Fold in the Apples
Add the prepared cinnamon apples along with any syrup released in the bowl into the cake batter.
Fold gently until the apples are evenly distributed throughout the batter.Prepare for Baking
Line a 7-inch baking pan with parchment paper and pour the batter into the pan.
Spread the batter evenly. Garnish the top with extra apple slices or cubes and lightly dust the surface with more 5Senses wild cinnamon bark powder for extra flavor and aroma.Bake the Cake
Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before removing it from the pan and peeling away the parchment paper.Finish and Serve
Dust the top generously with powdered sugar before serving.
Serve and enjoy this fluffy, moist, warmly spiced cinnamon apple cake with a soft texture and rich aromatic flavor.
